Picked up this single stem at the florist around the corner. It’s the type of place that stocks plenty of blue roses, dyed spider mums and keeps all of the flowers (even tropicals!) in a cooler. Thought I’d splurge (and not forage) and purchase a single stem for 5$ (missing Trader Joe’s prices). Lilies are a good choice for a single stem, as they boast at least 4 blooms and the added bonus is the smell. I promptly fashioned this stem in an empty bottle of 14 Hands Merlot.
Sometimes one stem is really all you need. Otherwise you are left scratching the walls (or your eyes) because the fragrance is too over-the-top and just down right cloying…
I’m loving the way this looks set in the fireplace with candles.
Never underestimate the power of a drinking glass. Occasionally that is what you are left with.
Simplicity is best.
